An internationally accredited Business School with a vibrant international environment.
The School of Business and Law has had an international focus in teaching and research since the early 1980s. Today, the Business School has a broad range of collaborative activities and networks, including student exchange programmes in all continents, incoming degree students, research networks, staff mobility and long-term strategic partnerships. Several nationalities are represented amongst our faculty members as well as in the student body.
In 2019, the UiA School of Business and Law was accredited by the American organisation Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, AASCB, and is one of two Norwegian institutions with this accreditation.
Student exchange possibilities at the Business School
Every year the School of Business and Law receives about 150 incoming students, taking a variety of courses offered by the Business School. Incoming exchange students may also choose courses from other faculties at UiA. This gives business students the opportunity to add other types of subjects, such as IT-courses and language courses to their portfolio. UiA also offers various language courses in Norwegian to all international students.
The School offers a vibrant and very research-oriented PhD-programme with around 40-50 PhD candidates from across the world. The main specialisation is in International Business, but also Innovation, Economics and other business school topics are relevant research areas in the PhD-programme.
