On the last Sunday in November, a workshop concert was held for all students involved in the Chamber Music Class at the Department of Classical Music and Music Education. Then concert was led by professor II in Chamber music, Cordula Hacke.
Albanian students at UiA will in relation to the Albanian National Day have a concert performing music by Albanian and Norwegian composers. The concert will take place Saturday 24 november at the Library.
The title of Ingolv Haaland’s new album –Dawara– is Arabic and means repetition and symbolises the cyclic aspect of the music being played. "Some refrains may even be repeated without a definite end. Compositions are developed in circles," Haaland says.
Bless Kulphassorn Wongrukrut and Pun Jarurat Narksen came all the way from Thailand to attend the unique Master in Music Management at UiA where they are staying for one semester.
All students and employees are welcome to join the UiA choir! Choir practice is on Tuesdays from 16:00 to 18:00 in the hall in the K building. The first practice this autumn is on 28 August.
On 8. June, representatives from Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Agder (UiA), and Sørlandets Kunstmuseum (SKMU) visited the Courtauld Institute of Art in London.
