Our faculty collaborate on several levels with both industry and academic institutions regionally, nationally and internationally. We primarily wish collaboration agreements based on actual activities. We are always interested in expanding our network, and welcomes collaboration requests.
Strategic collaboration
Strategic collaboration is important for larger parts of our business, and long-term collaboration (beyond single projects), is of particular interest.
New requests for collaboration with our faculty can be directed to Dean Frank Reichert, or directly to any of our academic groups.
International universities may facilitate their inquiries to our international coordinators Tor Erik Christensen and Pål Grandal.
Project collaboration
We often participate in professional development and collaboration on research and development related to the needs of the industry representing the labour marked. We can also assist in creating new projects and prepare applications for public funding programs. requests should be directed to relevant academic groups or head of relevant department.
Reference groups
All our study programmes have established a reference group of potential employers to ensure that our students graduate with skills responding to the needs of hiring industry. Enquiries regarding reference groups, including requests to participate, should be directed primarily to the programme coordinator of the actual study programme.
Student projects
Most of our students have the possibility to take part of their education in collaboration with companies in the industry. Most often this collaboration is in form of project work (e.g. bachelor- or masters thesis). Students projects normally involve a supervisor from the University of Agder and also a co-supervisor from the collaborating company.
UiA offers a web based meeting point for project-contact between students, academic UiA staff and external companies. Unfortunately, this meeting point have not yet been developed in English. English-speaking students should contact programme coordinator of their study programme, to learn about available student projects.
