Curious to know more about commercializing research and opportunities in the European market?
The road to commercializing research is riddled with opportunities. However, how does one get started? What is the difference between innovation and research, what are the possibilities of creating a successful venture within AI, and what resources are available to you?
A strong and supportive ecosystem is arguably needed to succeed with commercializing research. We welcome you to CoWorx Kristiansand, where we have invited AI startups and representatives from the local startup ecosystem. We will hear AI startup stories from founders who have launched their ventures within AI. We will meet representatives from public and private actors who support aspiring entrepreneurs as they explore new ideas and innovations leading to AI for good. We will introduce you to local, national, and European support mechanisms that will help you on your way to founding your own AI Startup.
The University of Agder with CAIR, the Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research, in collaboration with NORA, the Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium, hope to see you all there. We welcome researchers with innovative ideas, commercial companies looking for research collaboration, and students dreaming of making their own AI company.
The event will take place after the European Conference on Democracy and Human Rights taking place in Kristiansand May 5th. The event will also include a special keynote from Patrick Penninck, Head of the Information Society Department at the Council of Europe. The title of his keynote is Council of Europe AI Policy Development – Human Rights, the Rule of Law and Democracy and will focus on how the Council of Europe is looking at the development of a legal instrument (treaty/convention) on dealing with AI based on the values of the Organisation and compatible with Human Rights, Rule of Law and Democracy.
