Here you'll find some of the most frequently asked questions regarding the submission of assignments/home examinations.
Software
Do I need to install any special software before submitting assignments/take-home exams? - No, to access Inspera, you log in through a regular website. All you need is internet access.
When logging in, I am told that my password has expired - what do I do? - Your UiA password must be updated regularly. If you are told that it has expired, contact UiA help.
I log into Inspera, but I don't see any exams there. What could be the reason? - Exams are activated about a week before the submission deadline, so you will not be able to see them before then.
Submission
Where can I find the submission deadline for the assignment/home exam? - You can find the submission deadline on Studentweb.
How far in advance can I submit my assignment? - Usually, the submission opens about a week before the exam. A shorter home exam will not open until the delivery time.
Can I withdraw my submission? It is possible to change the submission up until the submission deadline. The exception is master's theses. If you want to change this, you must contact eksamen@uia.no.
Is it possible to submit after the submission deadline has passed? - No, the exam closes at the time of submission.
Special arrangements
Can I apply for an extended deadline for submitting an assignment? - Yes, you can find the application form for this under "tilrettelagt eksamen" (special arrangements for exams).
I have been granted extended time for an assignment as a special arrangement for exams - how does it work? - This only applies to home exams that take place during a limited period of time. The extra time will automatically be added to the exam in Inspera. No extra time will be added to larger assignments such as semester or bachelor theses.
Other questions
Where can I find my candidate number? - The candidate number will be available on StudentWeb, under <Innsyn/sensur> - <Vurderings-/eksamensmelding> approximately 14 days before the submission deadline.
Will I automatically receive a copy of my submission after it's been submitted?
- Yes, you can find it in the archive in Inspera. If you want to keep a copy for future reference, you need to download it onto your own computer. Can other students see what I have submitted? - No.
Is the exam anonymous for the examiner? - Yes, exams are anonymous by default. The exception is assignments that have had guidance or oral adjustment.
When will the grades be announced, and where can I see my grade? - You can find the expected date for the results on StudentWeb. The deadline for grading is three weeks, and the grade will be published on StudentWeb under <innsyn> - <resultater> as soon as the grade is available.
