From Monday 28 February, teaching at UiA will as a general rule take place in person on campus. The system for hybrid teaching will no longer be used.
The reason is that the one metre distance rule and the quarantine requirements for close contacts and household members have been lifted. These were requirements that reduced the capacity of classrooms and auditoriums.
The majority of students and staff who fall ill due to the coronavirus will be ill for a short time. “The regulatory requirement to go into isolation is removed and replaced with a recommendation for adults with a confirmed case of COVID-19 to stay home for 4 days from the onset of symptoms and, regardless, until they have been fever-free for 24 hours,” a press release from the Government released on 12 February said.
To offer our students a normal student experience, teaching will be carried out as planned with physical attendance in courses.
