Research interests

My research delves into Conceptual Metaphors from different standpoints.

In my Postdoctoral project, I am investigating the metaphorical conceptualizations of translators’ self-concepts as indicators of adaptability and expertise.

During my Ph.D. studies, I analyzed the strategies adopted by English learners when translating metaphorical clusters and figurative puns, and addressed the implementation of collaborative translator training. I also studied the application of Conceptual Metaphor Theories to EFL Teaching/Learning, with a specific focus on formulaic language.

With Dr. Marcin Trojszczak, I am currently exploring the conceptualizations of emotion regulation and thought suppression from the perspective of Cognitive Corpus Linguistics.
