Berit Lisbeth Koop

Participated at the European Integration Summer School (EISS) of the University of Agder in 2009.

In a way, it is what EU is all about

Why this programme: I chose EISS because it allows me to put my practical experiences from Brussels into a theoretical perspective and context.

About the programme: It gives an excellent overview of how the EU emerged and how it functions today. Lectures cover a broad variety of topics, and discussions in class are numerous. This mix is stimulating and satisfying. In a way, this is what the EU is all about - learning from each others' points of view and experiences.

About UiA: I think the UiA campus is nice and I like the fact that it is situated "in the nature". Besides, housing is not expensive.

Job opportunities: I hope to find a job in an international setting – be it in a company, a research institute, a ministry or one of the EU institutions.

Advice to future EISS students: In 7 weeks you learn a lot.
