STUDY TOUR INDONESIA 2007

The topic for the study tour to Indonesia in January and February 2007 was ‘Religion, identity and change’. This is an interesting and relevant topic, as we see numerous global conflicts arising from religion and cultural schism in the world today.

Indonesia turned out to be an ideal place to do research on this subject. It is the most populous Muslim country in the world, and struggles with internal conflicts in the intersection between religion and identity.

Doing this research in Indonesia were 13 students from Agder University College (AUC) attending the Development Studies Programme. About us
