Open Source - Open Science

Conference and Summer School at the University of Agder, Campus Grimstad, September 28th - 30th 2009, combining the trends of Open Publication, Open Curricula, Open Source, Open Hardware and Creative Commons, from the perspective of educators, scientists and engineers.

Bruce Perens is the keynote speaker and co-organizer of the conference, and instructor for many of the classes. Perens is one of the founders of the Open Source movement in software, and a developer of Open Source software since 1987. He was HP's first senior global strategist for Linux and Open Source, and was series editor for a series of 24 books published under an Open Publication license with Prentice Hall. He previously worked at Pixar, and is credited on the films "Toy Story II" and "A Bug's Life".

Three interviews with Bruce Perens are video taped.
