Åpent møte om menneskerettighetssituasjonen for studenter og fagorganiserte i Colombia

Foredraget arrangeres 31. januar kl. 17.00 på rom B2002 på UiA Campus Kristiansand. Gå inn hovedinngangen og sving til høyre innover Vilhelm Krags hall, videre opp trappa og til høyre.

Diego Marin, politisk flyktning og tidligere leder i den colombianske studentorganisasjonen ACEU forteller om både sin egen erfaring og om situasjonen i landet. Han vil bl.a. snakke om retten til utdanning, forfølging av studenter, fagorganiserte og opposisjonelle, og hvordan man kan sette lys på menneskerettighetene i landet.

Diego Marin flyktet selv fra Colombia i 2008 etter gjentatte drapstrusler fra paramilitære grupper med tett kontakt til det colobianske regimet. Studentorganisasjonen ACEU mottok i 2005 Studentenes Fredspris.

Amnesty students Kristiansand and LO student service invites you to:
Public meeting 31 January on the human rights situation for students and trade unionists in Colombia.
Diego Marin, a political refugee and former head of the Colombian student organization ACEU talks about both his own experience and on the situation in the country. He will include talk about the right to education, prosecution of students, trade unionists and opposition, and how to put light on human rights in the country.
Diego Marin fled even from Colombia in 2008 after repeated death threats from paramilitary groups with close ties to the colobianske regime. Student Organization ACEU received the 2005 Student Peace Prize.
