Course in Academic English
Are you completing your academic work in English, and/or are you considering defending your dissertation in English? This course will help you learn the words and expressions needed for this type of work, as course content focuses on both promoting your communication skills through aiding your acquisition of more precise/advanced English in an academic environment.
Content:
Oral fluency training (seminar language, presenting findings and conclusions, handling questions and comments, etc.) Presentation practice (papers, research, project proposals, etc) Written training (text construction, precision, linking, etc) Increasing vocabulary Useful websites
Hours: 15 hours (five 3-hour sessions)
Two courses:
One on Campus Grimstad starts 24th of September 0900 - 1200 One on Kampus Gimlemoen starts on the 21st of September at 1215 - 1500.
