The workshop is different from other conferences because all participants are actively involved in academic research related to microfinance management and governance. The peer reviewing system and the style of the workshop guarantees participants relevant feedback on their papers. Beside feedback on papers, the aim of the workshop is networking. The workshop is organized in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the modern premises of the University of Agder located in Kristiansand at the Southern tip of Norway.
Papers are selected based on quality and relevance. Max number of participants is 20-25.
The European Microfinance Platform (e-MFP) was set up in order to strengthen the dialogue among European microfinance actors including universities and academics involved in microfinance research.
More than 15 European universities and research institutions are currently members of the e-MFP research working group. New members are welcome to join.
