Forskning

The project explores the preconditions for the toleration of difference and for the rise of a critical public sphere in an early modern urban context. The dynamics of change and resistance to change produced the democratic life-world that is the essential habitat of contemporary man. The project therefore analyzes exchanges between epistemological and artistic processes of formation and ways of organizing urban life that emphasize the close ties between the imaginative and the physical.
