Summing up Gabug Findings

orside, Summary Java

It is easy to romanticize what we imagine to be the traditional village life. But the way of life is often far from ideal. They have been oppressed and exploited by their own government, and they struggle now, under the heavy demands put on them by the industrialized world. The shared community is something traditional villagers have and appreciate.

Their community represents a means of both personal and familiar survival. In this area, traditional villagers have much to teach us – their deeply rooted understanding of community. Religion is not very important for all of the people, but tradition is strong, as is also superstition.

The ongoing water project seems to be an important step towards development.
