Sources of income
The main sources of income mainly come from farming, in this sub-village mainly from corn and rice. Farming makes an important economic contribution to the household income.
Tourism in the close-by areas opens up for work and it is not unusual that people have an extra job on the side. Some are cleaning in the tourist areas, others working on construction.
We experienced that the women are very strong and hard working. Most women spend the larger part of their time on a diverse series of activities including weeding and harvesting, collecting animal fodder, water and fuel wood, food processing, all of witch make a direct economic contribution to the household income.
