Religion
There is a Mosque in this sub-village and people tend to go there quite frequently. However, the practice of praying varies. Some people pray each day, five times a day. Others only pray once a week. It is normal to pray at least once a week, usually on Fridays.
Some of the women we spoke with read books about Islam, watches religious TV-shows, and participates in religious student organizations. Some young people also participate in an Islamic organization.
According to what we were told, the teaching of Islam gives guidelines on how to be a good citizen. If you know how to be a good citizen, this will result in a peaceful community.
Animism is quite strong and many people participate in several mystic rituals.
