Java day-by-day
January 30th
This was our fist whole day in Yogyakarta, and after two relaxing days in Bali, we were ready to go on with the programme.
Today was lecture at Gadjah Mada University. Gadjah Mada University is a huge university with modern buildings. We had an interesting lecture about Islam in Indonesia. After the lecture Stein took us for a tour around on campus. The faculties were spread around and it was quite far from one faculty to another, especially for me who is used to everything in one place.
After the tour we went to The Norwegian House, Rumah Norwegia, where we met the second year students who are writing their bachelor thesis in Indonesia. Then we went for a walk around Yogyakarta city.
At night we ate pizza with the second year students, and went out to Yogyakarta’s night life.
