Bakgrunn

Dr Isabwe (Maurice) is a researcher and teacher in the area of Human Centred Design and Digital Media supported education at the Department of Information and Communication Technology. 

His research interests focus on user centred design and innovation in learning through digital media; combining concepts from systems development, engineering, pedagogy and global development.

Currently, he is involved in teaching, research project management as well as design and development of new solutions for teaching and learning. He has over 10 years experience in academia, working  with universities in United Kingdom, Rwanda and Uganda. Previously, he worked as a Systems Engineer, Field Service Engineer and Department leader in the field of Information and Communication Technology.

Maurice graduated with a 1st class degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bharathiar University (India, 2002), a Master of Science degree in Communications Engineering from the Robert Gordon University (Scotland, 2006), a Master of Philosophy degree in Advanced Telecommunications from Swansea University (Wales, 2011) and a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) from the University of Agder (Norway, 2013).
