Cooperation is based on mutual respect for each other and in finding partners who can offer new perspectives. UiA (before: HiA!) has succeeded in cooperating with many world-leading universities based on the merits of what we had to offer. We were not excluded when we came from a university college from the South of Norway. We have many excellent colleagues at HiT with whom we cooperate in research and education from the BSc to the PhD level. HiT doesn´t have world leading research in all areas, but neither do we. I feel that a researcher has the right to say "I´m not interested!" I just hope that nobody ever says about us: "UiA is so far below us, we can´t afford working together with them." And if they would, why should I be interested?
