Semester registration
Semester registration must be done on the StudentWeb before the start of each semester. Semester registration verifies students' educational plans, registrations and addresses. A more detailed guide for how to register can be found here.
The deadline for semester registration and confirmation of education plans on the StudentWeb is 1 September for autumn semester and 1 February for Spring semester. Semester registration opens 10 June for autumn semeseter and 10 December for spring semester for continuing students. Registration for new students opens 10 August for autumn semester and 2 January for spring semester.
PIN CODE
If you are missing your pin code, click here and then click "Log in to the StudentWeb."You will be taken to the welcome page of the StudentWeb. Enter your Norwegian ID number or dummy number (11 digits) and click on "Send PIN code by email." An email will be sent to your registered email address.
You will receive a semester card after you have registered on the StudentWeb and paid your semester fee. Your semester receipt will be sent to your semester address as registered in the StudentWeb. Contact the Service centre if you do not receive your card by post.
Semester registration for students with an education plan includes
- Confirmation of education plan and examination registration / class (Fronter) registration, and verification of personal information and study programme information on the StudetnWeb
- Payment of the semester fee
- Student card for new students
- Semester card for all students
Semester registration for students without an education plan includes
- Semester registration and verification of personal information, examination registration and class (Fronter) registration
- Payment of the semester fee (exchange students exempt)
- Student card for new students
- Semester card for all students
You must have confirmed your education plan and paid the semester fee each semester in order to receive your student grant. You can confirm the education plan on the StudentWeb before the semester fee is paid, but you are not a registered student until you have paid.
The semester card should be carried with the student card (in the same plastic case). The student card is only valid with the semester card. A valid semester card is a confirmation that you have paid the semester fee and are registered for the current semester. You must present this card to receive student discounts on public transportation.
If you do not have Internet availalbe, there are terminals on both campuses that you can use. If you need help, contact a student advisor at your faculty or at the Service Centre.
