Guest Scholarship

Applications for a guest scholarship can cover the stay of a guest researcher for up to 21 days. The amount of the scholarship is based on fixed rates. The application is approved by the dean who then forwards it to the Research Secretariat. Applications are processed continuously and approved under the authority of the Vice Rector for Research, Dissemination and Innovation. See guidelines (only available in Norwegian). Project Development Grants for projects that qualify for external funding

Funding of up to 20 000 NOK per project can be provided. The applications must be approved by the Dean and will be handled on an ongoing basis during the meetings of the Central Research Committee. The Vice Rector for Research has the authority to approve time-sensitive applications that cannot wait to be reviewed by the Research Committee. See guidelines (only available in Norwegian). Funding for conferences and seminars

The aim of this scheme is to provide support for academic conferences and seminars with international participation in order to help promote the university's academic activities at the international level.
The funds must be applied for and normally there is a maximum amount of 40,000 NOK per conference/seminar.
Application deadline: 1 November and 1 May. There is no separate form. See guidelines (only available in Norwegian). For further information please contact the contact person or the faculty administration.

Eligibility scholarships for women

There are no new funds allocated for 2011. (Cf internal budget allocation section 4.2).
Support for publishing for journals with open access

Support of up to a maximum of 25,000 NOK can be provided for work published in journals. These journals must be published within the framework of the open access publishing model (Open Access). Transfering funds from the Research Secretariat to the faculties
