Privacy Ombudsman
Who is our privacy ombudsman?
The University of Agder is part of an agreement with the Norwegian Social Sciences Data Services (NSD) which gives students and staff general access to data and services that are offered by NSD. NSD is therefore our privacy ombudsman. Projects can be registered at NSD's web page.
If you are unsure as to whether you should register your project with NSD, please contact the Research Secretariat. Please read the following first.
Health Research Act
If you are working on a project that falls within the field of health research, please check our pages on research ethics where you will find a new law on health research and its regulations.
Should your project require notifying NSD, you must submit a copy of the application to the privacy ombudsman (NSD) for quality control before NSD forward it to the Regional Committee for Medical and Health Research Ethics.
NB! Confer with your colleagues before applying. A revision of our regulations is underway.
