Research cooperation with UiA - information for businesses

UiA can enter into binding research agreements/contracts with exrernal institutions, organisations and companies. Should your company be in need of research based knowledge, in order to achiev better results, you will find different forms of cooperation with the University of Agder.

There are three main modells for cooperation with UiA:

Collaboration

Your company may collaborate directly with a specialist environment at UiA. Both parties contribute financially to the project.Several businesses have collaboration agreements with UiA.

Research partially financed from other research funds

Research cooperation between UiA and the business community, may be partially funded by NRC and the EU. Should your company have interests that match any of our research groups, it may be possible to cooperate on an application for funding. The conditions normally state that businesses normally contribute with funding, their own research resources or research experience. Possible programmes in the NRC are for example: BIA, Centeres for Research.based Innivation SFI .

EU programmes include Marie Curie Industry-Academia Partnerships amd Pathways (IAPP) and Research for the Benefit of SME's. The research secretariat can help identify the right funding.

Contract research

Some research groups/institutes also take on projects in order to help external partners analyse or solve specific problems.
