Regional cooperation projects
UiA is involved in many different research projects and agreements with companies and players in the region.
Together with the two regional counties, Agder Research and social partners, UiA has received funding for VRI-Agder (Research Council's initiative for research and innovation in the regions of Norway). The first period for VRI ran from 2007-2010 and the next will run from 2011-2013.
UiA is involved in the industrial PhD scheme. This three-year research project permits PhD candidates to pursue their degree while working in a company.
Together with companies in the region, UiA is part of the Centre of Excellence NORCOWE, in addition to several other research centres.
