Faculty of Fine Arts

The Faculty is responsible for education and research in the fields of drama, music and arts and crafts. Performance programmes in classical and popular music are offered on both the bachelor's and master's level, as well as bachelor programmes in music education, drama education, arts and crafts and music. Shorter programmes and courses are also offered as core and elective modules in the University's teacher education programmes.

All the programmes on offer can be combined with other subjects to make up a bachelor's degree, or provide the basis for further specialisation in the same subject area.

Fine arts studies qualify students for work in various capacities in nurseries and pre-school education, schools, culture schools, and the performing arts.

Besides providing students with a solid education, the Faculty of Fine Arts stresses the importance of creative artistic work. The Faculty also provides a broad selection of international exchange opportunities for students and staff.
