Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences
The Faculty has more than 2800 students and nearly 150 employees. There are six departments at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. One of the departments is located in Grimstad. The remaining units and the majority of faculty and staff members are located in Kristiansand.
The picture shows the Faculty's building at campus Gimlemoen in Kristiansand. The building is named after Eilert Sundt (1817-1875) who was a ground-breaking researcher in Norwegian social science.
Studytour Indonesia 2012
A group of 19 students was on a five week field course in Indonesia in January-February 2012. Their field course report is made in the form of a website called “Studytour Indonesia 2012”.
The students take the field course in their 2nd semester of development studies at UiA. The report includes research methodology, facts and findings - as well as wonderful pictures from the three islands: Java, Lombok and Flores. Read more here.
European integration more interesting than ever
European Integration Summer School 2012 attracts master students from both UiA and other universities in Norway and abroad.
The current economic turmoil in some of the euro countries makes the study of European integration more important and more interesting than ever.
