Higher Education Entrance Qualification
The one year study aims to give an introduction to the most central issues of political and administrative leadership theories. Comparing the Norwegian political system with other political systems from an international point of view.

The Examination Regulations of the University of Agder regulate the graduation requirements for each programme of study.
The programme gives a theroretical introduction to how our political system is built and how it works. It gives an overview over our political and administrative governmental system and how other political governmental systems works. The programmes is viewed and presented from both an international, national and local perpective.
The study is a combination of lectures, seminars, group work and individual assignments.
Forms of examinations for each course are listed in the individual course descriptions.
The programme gives the student a good basic background for working in administrative positions within both public and private sector, as well as NGO's og INGO's. When taken together with PPU in the Teacher Education Programme, this one-year programme will qualify students to teach political science in the schools.
The One-Year Programme in Political Science is identical to the first year of the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Political Science and may be included as a part of this programme. The programme may also be included as a part of other bachelor programmes as a minor subject, or in a self-composed bachelor programme.
Students may apply to get transferred to the bachelorprogramme if they fulfill our requirements for entry into the BA programme.
