Upon completion of the programme the students
-will have an overview of central philosophers and philosophical directions from Antiquity to our days, with particular emphasis on modern philosophy
-will have knowledge of currents within ethics, philosophy of religion, epistemology, fenomenology and existentialism
-will have a fine ability to read, analyse and discuss original texts by Classical authors
- will have developed fundamental skills in philosophical thought, linked to critical reflection and discussion, as well as analysis of cencepts and arguments
Lectures, seminars and group discussions (consult the individual description of moduls).
Several assessment forms used, e.g. term paper, home exam, written examination and oral examination. The types of assessments are adjusted as far as possible to the aim of providing the development of independent critical reflection and discussion.
