Upon completion of this course the students should have a thorough understanding of micro- and market economics.
The course should also give the students knowledge and understanding of how households and firms will act in various economic situations.
Upon completion of this course the students should have obtained graphic and analytic tools which makes them able to carry out economic analysis attached to the topics covered in this course.
The course covers the main subjects within micro and market economics. Themes: Theory of consumer behaviour. Theory of productions. The tasks of the market economy. Perfect competition, monopoly, and monopolistic competition. Efficiency of the market economy. Comparison of the different market forms.
3 hours of lecture and 2 hours of group work per week.
