Professional competence:
- Has knowledge about basic teaching in Norwegian and mathematics
- Has knowledge about the school as an organisation
- Has knowledge about the principles of school evaluation
- Has knowledge about principles of conflict resolution
- Has knowledge about how to prevent bullying and abuse
Didactic competence:
- Is able to plan, carry out teaching in basic reading writing and mathematics
- Is able to combine knowledge about learning strategies with the ability to perform adaptive teaching
- Can state reasons for the choice of activities and work methods
- Can make a foundation for a practice related project in relation to the curriculum of
- Basic Reading Writing and Mathematics Skills (GLSM)
Change and development competence:

After completed practice the tutor writes an individual written evaluation graded Pass/Fail.
The grade is given on the basis of the tutor´s evaluation of the student´s learning outcome of the five competence areas.
The student will present his/her evaluation report for the tutor of the next practice period.
