Professional-ethic competence:

- Is active and responsibly aware

- Has insight in personal attitudes and can estimate oneself as leader and example for others

- Is a clear colleague who keeps appointments and follows up personal responsibilities and assignments

Social competence:

- Shows ability to make contact with each pupil and sees each pupil´s needs

- Can communicate on the pupils´ level

- Is distinct, consistent and fair.

Professional competence:

- Has knowledge about various teaching methods

- Has knowledge about the school´s traffic security programme

- Has insight in basic values that the education is based on

- Has knowledge about ethical challenges in the teaching profession

Didactic competence:

- Can analyse curriculum and reflect on its content and methods

- Can use various teaching methods in Norwegian and in Christianity, religious and ethical knowledge

Change and development competence:

- Is able to change practice based on evaluation

- Shows ability to develop own leadership role

After completed practice the tutor writes an individual written evaluation graded Pass/Fail.

The grade is given on the basis of the tutor´s evaluation of the student´s learning outcome of the five competence areas.

The student will present his/her evaluation report for the tutor of the next practice period.
