Having completed the course the students should
- demonstrate insight in the roots of the pedagogical subject and its scientific basis
- demonstrate knowledge and be able to reflect on the importance of parental co-operation
- be able to organise an including community in kindergarten
- have knowledge about values and goals in kindergarten and be able to explain different theories about children´s development and learning in a variety of contexts
- be able to reflect on the role as a pre-school teacher
- be able to plan and evaluate the activity in the kindergarten in a critical way

The contents consists of seven topics
- introduction in pedagogical subject
- the goal and basic values in kindergarten
- basic educational ideas and values
- the didactic area
- learning and development of children
- formation
- play

Lectures, groups, self-study and use of ICT.
Practice period will be 8 weeks.

Passed practice.
Passed mandatory assignments

Individual 6-hours written examination. Differentiated grades.
