Upon completion of this course the students should be able to:
- Understand basic methodology
- Plan and implement an empirical survey
- Evaluate the quality of implemented surveys
The course provides a basic introduction to planning and implementation of empiric investigations.
Topics include:
- Methodology views and approaches
- Stages in a research process
- Meaning of theory in empirical studies
- Validity and reliability
- Ethical issues when carrying out investigations
- Qualitative and quantitative methods
Lectures and project work.
Approved mandatory assignment
3-hour written examination with graded marks
