KH-100-1 Semester Programme in Art in Pre-school Teacher Education - Workshops
Bachelor's Programme in Pre-school Education , Bachelor's Programme in Pre-school Education , Arts Subject in Pre-School Teacher Education, Semester Programme

Norwegian.
The student will be able to use different
types of documentation connected to planning, execution and
assessment of different works.
Through the visual art
workshop, the student will:
- through observation and
imagination connected to his own creative work, have attained
fundamental skills in drawing, painting and printing techniques
- master simple space-creating tools and fundamental
principles of stylization/simplification and mixing colours
- have explored basic principles for use of ICT in
artistic work.
During the clay workshop, the student
will:
- through his own creative work have attained
fundamental skills in the most common techniques for creating
sculpture and crafts
- have shown that he can use
various ceramic surface treatments, such as oxidized water and
glazes.
During the textile workshop, the student
will:
- through creative work with issues connected
to various crafts and images, have attained knowledge about and
experience with various textile materials, tools and techniques
- be able to use a sewing machine and master basic
skills in the arts of matting, weaving, silkscreen, masks and
embroidery.
During wood shop, the student will:
- be able to create crafts out of wood where the
development of ideas connected to studies of visual art and
arts and crafts (historical and contemporary) plays a central
role
- be able to work with natural wood and processed
wood materials
- master basic methods of assembly and
various techniques for processing wood
surfaces.
The course will help the students to develop a foundation in visual language and form from which they can experience, understand and evaluate the different manners in which our culture is expressed. They will also develop knowledge of children´s visual language of art as well as how to convey art to children.
