Preliminary Course for Engineers
Autumn
Norwegian
After completing the course, the student is expected to have:
- received an introduction to physics to start engineering studies
- developed skills to solve physical problems with mathematics as a tool
- acquired an attitude to the physics role within technological and environmental approaches
Motion, force, mechanical energy, fluidmechanics, thermophysics, the gas laws, electricity, waves and light waves.
Lectures and exercises.
Satisfactory submission of compulsory exercises.
Written examination, 5 hours (50 % contribution to final assessment) and portfolio (50 % contribution to final assessment). Graded assessment. The portfolio must be assessed to Pass to take the written examination.
