DR-103-1 Drama in Early Childhood Education

On successful completion of this course, the
students should be able to:
- use drama as an
expression and as communication
- have knowledge of
drama and theatre as fine art
- develop childrens own
dramatic and creative play
- stimulate and present
drama activities as a natural part of the
kindergarten
The course will enable the students to use
drama as a type of expression and communication. They will also
acquire knowledge of the childrens dramatic games and
activities.
Course
contents:
- Basic voice training and movement
training
- Story telling and puppetry
- Drama
teaching and theory
The course makes use of lectures, group seminars and practical work. Integrated theoretical and practical work.
Compulsory participation is required. The right to examination disappears if the student has more than 20 % absence.
Ten days compulsory training in kindergarten.
