Successful completion of the one-year Programme in Religion and Ethics or the equivalent.
The programme offers in-depth studies of theological, philosophical and sociological issues at a more advanced level than the one-year programme.
Upon having completed the course, students will have acquired the following: - thorough knowledge of the theological and religious topics on which students are conducting research - ability to discuss theological and religious problematic approaches at a high academic level - ability for mature reflection in relation to the special topics studied during the programme
Teaching is in the form of lectures, plenum discussions and tutorials. Forms of instruction are further described in the course descriptions, and may to some extent vary from one semester to another.
Forms of assessment will vary. See course descriptions.
The programme qualifies for positions related to cultural work, and if combined with practical-pedagogical education, it qualifies for teaching in upper secondary school. (See also the bachelor´s programme in Religion, Ethics and Culture.) It may form the advanced specialization in the bachelor´s programme in Religion, Ethics and Culture and in an unspecified bachelor´s degree. The programme may, when included in a bachelor´s degree, qualify for admission to master´s programmes in religion or Christianity.
