Nordic Language and Literature, One-year programme, or the equivalent.
This advanced course offers specialisation in Nordic languages and literature beyond the one-year study programme, 60 sp. The courses on offer expand on topics covered during the one-year study programme, or they can have a more independent profile. The Nordic perspective is explored in more depth than is done during the one-year study programme. These courses (each comprising 10 sp) will be offered during the spring of 2009: KOM201 Discourse Analysis LIT-201 Text - Presenter - Reader NO-204 Syntax NO-205 Nordic Languages and Instruction in Neighbour Languages NO-206 Literary Motifs 2.
Through in-depth study students will further develop their knowledge of Norwegian and Nordic languages and literature, and the understanding of the role language and literature plays in a broad cultural perspective. Through employing both theoretical and practical approaches, students will acquire in-depth knowledge regarding language and text, and they will be made capable of imparting their knowledge and understanding to others.
Lectures and seminars.
There will be a variety of examination forms in the individual courses, see course descriptions.
The programme strengthens students´ professional ability for Norwegian instruction at the upper secondary school level. It also allows the opportunity for admission to the Master´s Degree Programme in Nordic, see admission requirements for Nordic Languages and Literature, Master´s Degree Programme.
