History, Advanced Programme

A necessary prerequisite is the one-year programme in history (60 ECTS credits), or the equivalent.
The programme contains three advanced courses, each of 10 ECTS credits. Each forms a separate unit with a defined syllabus. Some courses focus on the long lines in history while other courses go deeper into a more closely defined theme.
Students will have - studied in depth and be able to show insight into topics from the subject area of history - further developed their insight into historical method and theory
Three advanced courses will be given. Differences in the types of instruction in emphasized throughout the programme. Forms of instruction are lectures, seminars and excursions, supplemented by tutorials in connection with paper writing/presentations, group work, colloquiums and self-study.
Forms of assessment: Written examination, term paper, oral examination / student presentations
