Higher Education Entrance Qualification
German as level 2 in upper secondary school
The programme aims to provide knowledge about the German language and the literature, history and culture of the German area.A study trip to Münster in the last week of October 2009 is offered (if the number of participants is sufficient).
After completing the course students will have - trained their oral and written proficiency of German - acquired a basic knowledge of German language (grammar and phonetics) - acquired knowledge of German literature and culutre in the German speaking countries - acquired knowledge of didactic problems related to language and text
Lectures, seminars, exercises. Students are advised to attend classes on a regular basis.Obligatory assignments.

In combination with Postgraduate Certificate in Education the programme qualifies to teach on lower secondary and upper secondary school levels, and may also be useful as a background for a broad spectre of positions in which knowledge of German is an essential qualification. The course can be a part of th general teacher training (ALU). The autumn term (30 study credits) with ALU gives teaching qulaifications on lower secondary level.
The three courses given in the autumn semester may qualify for teaching German in primary and lower secondary school. Unspecified Bachelor's Degree: The following courses may constitute a minor subject of 40 ECTS credits in German: TY-114 German Language 1 (10 ECTS credits) TY-116 Practical German 1 (10 ECTS credits) TY-117 Practical German 2 (10 ECTS credits) TY-118 German Literature 1 (10 ECTS credits)
