Upon completion of this course the students should be able to: account for central themes in the field of organisation and management implement basic evaluations of organisation and management in businesses and be able to suggest improvments
The course will provide students with insight into sentral organisational and management topics. For example: what is organisation and management, why do we have organisations (markets and transaction costs, resources and complementary assets, value chains, work distribution and specilisation), goals and efficiency in organisations, organisational structure, organisational culture and ethics, power and conflicts, organisations and their environments, motivation, communication, decision-making processes, organisational instruction, flexibility and changes, management (management and personality, management and efficiency, managerial behaviour, management and symbols, etc.), how to analyse organisations?
