NV-101 Medical and biological topics 1
On successful completion of the course, the student should be able to: explain human anatomy and physiology explain normal ageing processes, functional alterations and dementia among the elderly possess knowledge about how to administer medication
ECTS credits distribution based on the National Curriculum: Anatomy, physiology and biochemistry: 2 credits General pathology, disease and pharmacology: 3 credits The course will make the students acquire basic knowledge and understanding of natural sciences and medical topics to be able to practise nursing. Topics: Biochemistry Anatomy and physiology of the organs/organ structure Gerontology, geriatrics and dementia among the elderly Administering medication
