MU-129-1 Music as a Profession

Bachelor's Programme in Pre-school Education , , Music in Pre-School Teacher Education, Semester Programme

Norwegian.

On successful completion of the course, the student will: - be able to work independently, comprehensively and with reflection on activities in music education where interaction with children is central - be familiar with relevant curriculum plans and be able to argue for the subject's place in day cares and schools - be able to work creatively and in a process-oriented way with music.

The course will enable the students to independent and all-round work with pedagogic subjects. Performance is an importent part of the course. Course contents: - Music pedagogic subjects - Practice - Didactics - Workshops

The course makes use of lectures and group seminars. During the practice each studentgroup will receive guidance.

- Practice, assessed as passed - Compulsory assignments - Compulsory attendance, assessed as passed

- Individual oral exam (20 minutes). Assessed on the basis A-F (with A as the highest level and F as fail).
