Upon completion of this course the students should be able to: express a problem definition understand basic methodology plan and implement an empirical survey evaluate the quality of implemented surveys
The course provides a basic introduction to planning and implementation of empiric investigations. Topics include: Methodology views and approaches Stages in a research process Research design Measures Validity and reliability Secondary data Ethical issues when carrying out investigations Primary data: qualitative and quantitative methods Selection criteria and scope Introduction to applied data analysis
