KR-212-1 Art in the Religions

A minimum of 4 courses or 40 credits in religion and ethics from level 1, or the equivalent.

The students will: - have basic knowledge of ethical issues connected to religious discourse in a broad sense - have acquired insight into how religious faith and lifestyle are expressed aesthetically and artistically in the most important world religions, in contemporary alternative religion, and in secular lifestyles - be able to explain how this is concretely expressed in architecture, visual art, literary art, music and dance and drama in these traditions - be able to show how artistic expressions are integrated into rituals, signs and symbols

Lectures and seminars.

Students have to complete an assignment that is presented orally and/or in written form. Students on the RLE3 course will have to include didactics in their assignment.

Written home examination lasting 3 days. Graded assessment.
