KH-121-1 Arts and Crafts 1 - Workshops

Bachelor's Programme in Fine Arts - Specialisation in Arts and Crafts , Arts and Crafts, 1-year Programme

On successful completion og this course, the student should: - have an aesthetic consciousness and understanding for creative processes in different medias - know the most important tools in the workshops and be able to keep them in repair - be able to use different types of documentation related to organizing, performance and evaluation of different kind of works - be able to use basic colortheories - acquired skills for building sculptures in wood and plastic materials - master basic methods of assembly and various techniques for processing wood surfaces.

The course will help the students to develop their own visual language and form basis from which they can experience, understand and evaluate the different manners in which our culture is expressed. The students will acquire knowledge of the materials, techniques, tools and aesthetic means that are appropriate to use. The course takes place in workshops for - Wood - Textiles - Clay - Illustration

The course makes use of group seminars, practical work and individual guidance. Compulsory attendance.

- Test in different materials, assesed as passed - Compulsory assignments - Compulsory attendance, assessed as passed

- Exhibition, including works from all the workshops. Assessed on the basis A-F (with A as the highest level and F as fail).
