IS-104-1 User Interfaces, Development
Bachelor's Programme in IT and Information Systems , IT and Information Systems, 1-year Programme

Norwegian.
Upon successful completion of the course, the students should: be able to demonstrate insight in important design principles, processes and methods for developing user interfaces be able to demonstrate insight in appropriate structure of a user interface be able to explain important characteristics of web user interfaces in cooperation with others be able to participate actively in analysis, design, construction and test of a user interface prototype with appropriate usability.
The course introduces concepts, principles, techniques and processes for design of IT based user interfaces with appropriate usability.
Up to 6 hours of lectures/organised group work per week.
Approved mandatory assignments. Assignments from previous courses will not automatically be approved.
A 4-hour written individual examination which comprises 60% of the final grade and a portfolio assessment comprising 40%. The portfolio consists of a selection of the mandatory assignments. Students must pass both parts.
