After having completed the course, the students will have acquired knowledge and skills which make them able to: carry out professional personal fitness training have knowledge about and be conscious of the role as Personal Trainer with regard to ethics, public relations, law, guidelines and insurance carry out basic testing related to strength and condition find relevant and realistic aims and continuous evaluate them explain and carry out good and suitable exercise techniques plan, carry out and evaluate long-term personal training programmes within the following: training of strength practical mobility training endurance training diet counselling be updated with results from current research concerning health and fitness training communicate, motivate and stimulate to the individual's well-being be good role models

The role of the Personal Trainer Expanded trainings theory related to: Endurance training Strength training Practical mobility training Spotting Testing Organisation of training Core Training Nutrition and recommendations Recommended training for special target groups Sports injuries Source critics and seeking literatur Motivation and communication

Lectures, group work, demonstrations, work in gymnasium, observations with complementary work, self studies, assignments and task coaching. The course consists of both theory and practical work. Throughout the course theoretical knowledge is related to practical instruction exercises. Students are expected to acquire parts of the course contents by individual studies. The practical lessons are compulsory and 100 % attendance is required.

The examination consists of to parts which are equally weighted: A graded 45-minute individual practical exam A graded 2-hour written individual school-exam Both parts must be passed. One graded mark is given.
