IDR116-1 Foundations of Physical Education

Health and Fitness Training, One-semester Programme , , Bachelor's Programme in Public Health Work

Experience as a trainer/coach and/or experience with fitness training. The applicant should be in good physical form.

After having completed the course, students will: be able to analyse problems related to health and training based on basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics know the relations between physical activity and health be able to apply theoretical knowledge into practical situations

Anatomy structure and function of the musculo-skeletal system biomechanics Physiology circulatory and ventilatory physiology energy metabolism fatigue and recovery neuromuscular functio Foundations of physical training organisation of training general principles of training training methods and variables physical activity and health

Lectures, demonstrations and practical work in various places. Integration of theory and practice will be emphasised.

Approved attendance at compulsory teaching

A graded 3-hour written individual exam.
